Overview
We will start our trip traveling to Fátima where
we will live a spiritual experience while visiting
the Sanctuary, one of the most important Christian
pilgrimage sites in the world. We will visit the Chapel
of Apparitions - the exact place where the Virgin Mary
appeared to the 3 little shepherds. You can visit
the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary where you can
find the tombs of the 3 little shepherds: Francisco,
Jacinta and Lúcia.
Next we will visit the Batalha Monastery, from the
14th century, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since the 1980s.
Here you can see an amazing architecture and take some
uniques photos.
We will stop at the Nazaré cliffs with stunning views
over the Atlantic Ocean. This village has maintained a
strong and long tradition of fishing since its origins.
Here, there is a huge variety of fish and seafood
restaurants where we will have lunch.
Enjoy the sea breeze along the Atlantic coast on your
way to the next stop, the town of Óbidos. Fall in love
with this romantic medieval village founded over 2000
years ago. Finish by tasting the traditional Ginja liqueur
(a type of cherry) served in a chocolate cup, before
returning to Lisbon.
